Anti-Barttin (BSND) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Barttin is an accessory beta subunit for CLC chloride channel, which is encoded by the BSND gene in human.
Barttin consists of two transmembrane domains, one small extracellular loop and two intracellular domains.
Mutations in Barttin cause autosomal recessive Bartter syndrome with sensorineural deafness (BSND) (OMIM 606412), also known as DFNB73. Barttin is highly expressed in the inner ear and the kidney epithelium.
