Anti-BIP (HSPA5 or GRP78) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Binding immunoglobulin protein (BiP) also known as (GRP-78) or heat shock 70 kDa protein 5 (HSPA5) is a endoplasmic reticulum (ER) protein that is encoded by the HSPA5 gene in human. BIP is a member of the heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) family that is involved in the folding and assembly of proteins in the ER. BIP is located in the lumen of the ER that binds newly synthesized proteins as they are translocated into the ER.
