Tyrosine-protein kinase BLK, also known as B lymphocyte kinase, is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that is encoded by the BLK gene in human. BLK is of the Src family of tyrosine kinases. BLK also stimulates insulin synthesis and secretion in response to glucose and enhances the expression of several pancreatic beta-cell transcription factors.
