Anti-Calreticulin (CALR) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Calreticulin is encoded by the CALR gene in human. Calreticulin is a highly conserved chaperone protein that resides primarily in the endoplasmic reticulum, where it binds to misfolded proteins and prevents them from being exported from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. Systemic lupus erythematosus is associated with increased autoantibody titers against calreticulin.
