Anti-Claudin-11 (CLDN11) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Claudin-11 is a protein that is encoded by the CLDN11 gene in human. Claudin-11 belongs to the Claudin protein superfamily.
Claudins are tetraspan proteins making the tight junction. Claudins have four transmembrane domains, two extracellular loops (ECLs: ECL1 and ECL2), amino- and carboxyl-terminal cytoplasmic domains, and a short cytoplasmic motif.
Claudin-11 is expressed by the Sertoli cells in the testis to make the blood-testis barrier, by the oligodendrocyte in the central nervous system, and by the stria vascularis in the organ of Corti.
