Anti-Claudin-13 (CLDN13) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent tissues.
Claudin-13 is a protein that is encoded by the CLDN13 gene in mice. Claudin-13 belongs to the Claudin protein superfamily. (Note that there is no human Claudin-13 sequence in NCBI database.)
Claudins are tetraspan proteins making the tight junction. Claudins have four transmembrane domains, two extracellular loops (ECLs: ECL1 and ECL2), amino- and carboxyl-terminal cytoplasmic domains, and a short cytoplasmic motif.
Claudin-13 is expressed by the epithelial cells in developing organ systems.
