BiCell Scientific Inc’s mRNA synthesis service provides in vitro transcribed eukaryotic mRNA ranging from 100bp to 6kb and featuring 5′ capping and 3′ poly-A tailing.

Messenger RNA (mRNA) synthesis by in vitro transcription (IVT) is a cell-free process to produce RNA by T7 RNA polymerase reactions. Synthesized RNA such as mRNA is widely used in protein expression, vaccine production, animal transgenesis and many other applications.

BiCell Scientific Inc’s mRNA synthesis service utilizes linear plasmid DNA as template to synthesize mRNA that are 5′-end capped and 3′-end tailed with poly-A. BiCell Scientific Inc is able to achieve synthesis of mRNA length up to 6 kb and mRNA yield of up to 1 mg per μg of plasmid DNA.

  • Molecular cloning of custom gene sequence into pCMV-T7 vector.
  • Produce and purify plasmid DNA as template.
  • In vitro transcribe mRNA with T7 RNA polymerase, NTP mixture, and m7G(5′)ppp(5′)A RNA cap analog.
  • Gel purify synthesized mRNA and extract mRNA with phenol:chloroform.

Customers will receive the following deliverables at the end of each project:

  • Plasmid DNA expressing custom RNA sequence downstream of T7 promoter
  • Gel purified RNA of 100 μg to 1 mg scale
