Anti-EGFR (ErbB1 or HER1) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), also known as ErbB1 or HER1, is encoded by the EGFR gene in human. EGFR is a member of the ErbB family of receptors. EGFR is a single-pass transmembrane protein that functions as receptor tyrosine kinase, and when bound to epidermal growth factor, induces receptor dimerization and tyrosine autophosphorylation, which leads to cell proliferation. Mutations in the EGFR gene are associated with various types of cancer.
