Anti-ErbB2 (HER2 or Neu or CD340) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2, also known as CD340 (cluster of differentiation 340), proto-oncogene Neu, or human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), is a protein that is encoded by the ERBB2 gene in human. ErbB2 is a member of the human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER/EGFR/ERBB) family. ErbB2 has no ligand binding domain of its own and therefore cannot bind growth factors. However, it does bind tightly to other ligand-bound EGF receptor family members to form heterodimers. Upregulation of ErbB2 or HER2 plays an important role in the development and progression of certain aggressive types of breast cancer.
