Anti-GLUT4 (SLC2A4) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Glucose transporter 4 (or GLUT4), also known as solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 4 (SLC2A4), is a glucose transporter that permits the transport of glucose across the cell membrane. GLUT4 is encoded by the Slc2a4 gene in human and regulated by insulin.
Like all GLUT proteins, the structure of GLUT4 protein allows it to transport glucose across the cell membrane. GLUT4 is highly expressed in the muscle, the fat and the pancreas.
