Kv2.1 has 6 transmembrane domains labeled S1-S6, each with a tetrameric structure. Kv2.1 is a a delayed rectifier. Kv2.1 is expressed in pulmonary arteries, auditory outer hair cells, stem cells, the retina, and organs such as the heart and pancreas.
