Anti-MBD2 (DMTase) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from human and rodent tissues.
DNA methylation is the major modification of eukaryotic genomes and plays an essential role in mammalian development. Methyl-CpG-binding domain protein 2 is a methylated DNA binding protein that is encoded by the MBD2 gene in human. MBD2 can recruit the NuRD complex to regions of DNA depending on its selective binding of methylated CpG sites. MBD2 has been shown to bind hemimethylated DNA as well.
