Anti-Nephrocystin-2 (NPHP2 or Inversin or INVS) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Nephrocystin-2 (NPHP2) is also known as Inversin. It is encoded by the INVS gene in human. Nephrocystin-2 contains multiple ankyrin domains and two IQ calmodulin-binding domains. It is a component of the primary cilium and plays a vital role in left-right axis determination.
Mutations in Nephrocystin-2 cause nephronophthisis type 2 (OMIM 602088), which manifests as renal failure and acidosis, accompanied by hypertension and polyuria.
