Anti-NHE3 (Slc9a3) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Sodium-hydrogen exchanger 3 (NHE3), or sodium-hydrogen antiporter 3, is encoded by the SLC9A3 gene in human. NHE3 is an epithelial brush border Na/H exchanger that uses an inward sodium ion gradient to expel acids from the cell.
NHE3 consists in 10 transmembrane domains. NHE3 is found on the luminal membrane of the epithelial cells of the proximal tubule in the kidney and the epithelial cells in the intestinal mucosa.
Mutations in NHE3 are a cause of congenital secretory sodium diarrhea (OMIM 616868).
