Antibody: Rabbit NKCC1 (Slc12a2) Polyclonal Antibody

Concentration: 0.25 mg/ml purified IgG

Application: Recommended for immunofluorescence labeling (1:100) and Western blot (1:1000)

Reactivity: Human

Anti-NKCC1 (Slc12a2) (human) antibody is recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from human tissues.

Optional Blocking Peptide

FFPE Specific Antibody

FFPE-specific recognition antibodies are made against the same epitope sequence with novel cross-linking and stabilizing technique to lock the conformational state of epitope in a folded state similar to aldehyde induced fixation.

Western Blot Specific Antibody

Western blot-specific recognition antibodies are made against the same epitope sequence with novel denaturing and stabilizing technique to prevent the natural folding of epitope in order to lock its conformation in unfolded state.

Anti-NKCC1 (Slc12a2) (human) antibody is recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from human tissues.

The Na-K-Cl cotransporter type 1 (NKCC1) protein is encoded by the SLC12A2 gene in human. NKCC1 consists in 12 transmembrane domains and the stoichiometry of the transported solutes is 1Na:1K:2Cl.

NKCC1 is highly expressed in organs that secrete fluids, such as exocrine glands and choroid plexus. In addition to exocrine glands, NKCC1 is important for establishing the potassium-rich endolymph that bathes the cochlea in the inner ear.

This antibody was raised against human specific epitope sequence in NKCC1 protein, which derives from a homologous region to the validated mouse NKCC1 epitope (Cat No.: 20302).

Host/Isotype: Rabbit/IgG

Class: Polyclonal

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide (15-aa) derived from the N-terminal cytoplasmic region of human NKCC1 protein

Species homology of immunogen: Synthetic peptide sequence showing 33.3% homology to mouse or rat sequence

Conjugation: Unconjugated

Purification: Affinity chromatography

Storage buffer: PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide

Storage condition: –20°C

"I am really impressed with your approach. We tried multiple times previously to create monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to claudin-2 and MLCK1. We have had limited success generating polyclonals and no success generating monoclonals. You have generated outstanding monoclonals to both. I look forward to continuing to work with you."

"The polyclonal antibody you generated for KIAA0408 is stunning! KIAA0408 is a novel cilium molecule that has never been studied. So, clearly there will be a lot of demand for it as we have discovered a very interesting finding and the story will be published in a high impact journal. I am strongly inclined to generate monoclonal antibody for this protein too and we should think about patenting it."

"Your ARL13B antibody works beautifully!!! We’re so happy to have a cilia-specific antibody made in rat! I can send you high resolution images to be posted on your website."

"The assay is a homophilic interaction mediated cell adhesion on purified protein (in this case, immobilized purified Pcdhga9 to Pcdhga9 expressed on cell surface). Compared to control, cell adhesion is reduced in the presence of Pcdhga9 monoclonal antibody supernatants!"
