PALS1-associated tight junction protein (PATJ) (also known as DiscsLost in Drosophila) is encoded by the PATJ gene in human. PATJ belongs to the crumbs apicobasal polarity complex and is localized to the TJ plaque.
PATJ is a cytosolic protein consisting in 10 PDZ domains. PATJ is widely expressed in epithelial tissues.
