Anti-PDGFRA (CD140a) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
PDGFRA, platelet-derived growth factor receptor A, also termed PDGFRα, or CD140a, Cluster of Differentiation 140a, is a tyrosine kinase receptor that is encoded by the PDGFRA gene in human. PDGFRA acts as a cell-surface receptor for PDGFA, PDGFB and PDGFC and plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, survival and chemotaxis. PDGFRA consists of an extracellular ligand binding domain, a transmembrane domain and an intracellular tyrosine kinase domain. Mutations in this gene have been associated with idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome, somatic and familial gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and a variety of other cancers.
