Anti-SCN4A (Nav1.4) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Nav1.4, also known as sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 4 (SCN4A), is a protein that is encoded by the SCN4A gene in human. Nav channels function in the generation and propagation of action potentials in neurons. Nav1.4 is a large membrane protein with 24 transmembrane domains. Mutations in the SCN4A gene are associated with hypokalemic periodic paralysis, hyperkalemic periodic paralysis, paramyotonia congenita, and potassium-aggravated myotonia.
