Anti-SWELL1 (LRRC8A) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 8A, also known as SWELL1, is a protein that is encoded by the LRRC8A gene in human. Along with the other LRRC8 proteins LRRC8B, LRRC8C, LRRC8D, and LRRC8E, LRRC8A is a subunit of the heteromer protein volume-regulated anion channel (VRAC). VRACs are crucial to the regulation of cell size by transporting chloride ions and various organic osmolytes, such as taurine or glutamate, across the plasma membrane.
