Anti-Anillin (ANLN or FSGS8) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Anillin is a conserved protein implicated in cytoskeletal dynamics during cellularization and cytokinesis. The ANLN gene in humans and the scraps gene in Drosophila encode Anillin proteins. Anillin specifically binds F-actin, rather than G-actin. Binding of F-actin by anillin only occurs during cell division. Anillin also bundles actin filaments and drives their relative sliding.
Mutations in this gene are associated with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis 8 (FSGS8).
