Anti-CASPR2 (CNTNAP2) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
CASPR2 also known as Contactin associated protein 2 (CNTNAP2), is a protein that is encoded by the CNTNAP2 gene in human. CASPR2 is a member of the neurexin family of proteins. CASPR2 consists in a large extracellular domain with multiple Laminin G-like 1 motifs, a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic tail. CASPR2 is localized at the juxtaparanodes of myelinated axons, and mediates interactions between neurons and glia during nervous system development and is also involved in localization of potassium channels to juxtaparanodes.
