Anti-Formin-2 (FMN2) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Formins (formin homology proteins) are a group of proteins that are involved in the polymerization of actin and associate with the fast-growing end (barbed end) of actin filaments. Formins regulate the actin and microtubule cytoskeleton and are involved in various cellular functions such as cell polarity, cytokinesis, cell migration and SRF transcriptional activity.
Formin-2 is encoded by the FMN2 gene in human. Mutations in this gene have been associated with infertility and also with an autosomal recessive form of intellectual disability (MRT47).
