Anti-APAF1 (CED4) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Apoptotic protease activating factor 1, also known as APAF1, is a human homolog of C. elegans CED-4 gene and is encoded by the APAF1 gene in human. APAF1 contains several copies of the WD-40 domain, a caspase recruitment domain (CARD), and an ATPase domain (NB-ARC). Upon binding cytochrome c and dATP, APAF1 forms an oligomeric apoptosome to initiate apoptosis.
