Anti-Caspase-3 (CASP3) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Caspase-3 is a cysteine-aspartic acid protease that is encoded by the CASP3 gene in human. Caspase-3 is produced as a zymogen that can then be cleaved into 17 kDa (p17) and 12 kDa (p12) subunits that become part of the active enzyme. Caspase-3 is the predominant caspase involved in the cleavage of amyloid-beta 4A precursor protein, which is associated with neuronal death in Alzheimer’s disease.
