Anti-Filamin C (FLNC) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Actin-binding protein, or filamin, is a 280-kD protein that crosslinks actin filaments into orthogonal networks in cortical cytoplasm and participates in the anchoring of membrane proteins for the actin cytoskeleton. Filamin-C (FLN-C) also known as actin-binding-like protein (ABPL) or filamin-2 (FLN2) is encoded by the FLNC gene in human.
Mutations in Filamin C have been associated with human hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, restrictive cardiomyopathy, and a higher incidence of cardiac death.
