Anti-GLUT2 (SLC2A2) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Glucose transporter 2 (or GLUT2), also known as solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 2 (SLC2A2), is a glucose transporter that permits the transport of glucose across the cell membrane. GLUT2 is encoded by the Slc2a2 gene in human. Unlike GLUT4, GLUT2 does not rely on insulin for facilitated diffusion.
Like all GLUT proteins, the structure of GLUT2 protein allows it to transport glucose across the cell membrane. GLUT2 is highly expressed in the islet of Langerhans in the pancreas.
