Anti-Myosin-9 (MYH9 or DFNA17) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Myosin-9 also known as myosin, heavy chain 9, non-muscle or non-muscle myosin heavy chain IIa (NMMHC-IIA), is a myosin protein that is encoded by the MYH9 gene in human. Myosin-9 is expressed in most cells and tissues where it participates in a variety of processes requiring contractile force, such as cytokinesis, cell migration, polarization and adhesion, maintenance of cell shape, and signal transduction.
Defects in this gene have been associated with non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 17, Epstein syndrome, Alport syndrome with macrothrombocytopenia, Sebastian syndrome, Fechtner syndrome and macrothrombocytopenia with progressive sensorineural deafness.
