Anti-Nephrocystin-10 (NPHP10 or SDCCAG8 or BBS16) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Serologically defined colon cancer antigen 8 (SDCCAG8), or Nephrocystin-10 (NPHP10) or BBS16, is encoded by the SDCCAG8 gene in human. SDCCAG8 plays an essential role in ciliogenesis and subsequent Hedgehog signaling pathway that requires the presence of intact primary cilia for pathway activation.
Mutations in SDCCAG8 cause Bardet-Biedl syndrome 16 (OMIM 615993) or Senior-Loken syndrome 7 (OMIM 613615), an autosomal recessive ciliopathy characterized by retinal degeneration, obesity, renal disease, and cognitive impairment.
