Anti-PLK1 (PLK or STPK13) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1), also known as serine/threonine-protein kinase 13 (STPK13), is encoded by the PLK1 gene in human. PLK1 belongs to the CDC5/Polo subfamily. PLK1 is highly expressed during mitosis and its elevated expression is found in many different types of cancer. The kinase domain of PLK1 is located at the N-terminus. There are two conserved polo-box regions of 30 amino acids at the C-terminus. PLK1 may be involved in tumor suppressor p53 pathway and retinoblastoma tumor suppressor pathway.
