Anti-BBC3 (PUMA) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Bcl-2-binding component 3 (BBC3), also known as p53 upregulated modulator of apoptosis (PUMA), is a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 protein family, that is encoded by the BBC3 gene in human. The expression of BBC3 is regulated by the tumor suppressor p53. After activation, BBC3 interacts with anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members, thus freeing Bax and Bak to send apoptotic signals to the mitochondria.
