Anti-Caspase-6 (CASP6) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Caspase-6 is a cysteine-aspartic acid protease that is encoded by the CASP6 gene in human. Caspase-6 is produced as a zymogen that can then be cleaved into 18 kDa (p18) and 11 kDa (p11) subunits that become part of the active enzyme. Caspase-6 plays a role in the early immune response via de-repression. It reduces the expression of the immunosuppressant cytokine interleukin-10 and cleaves the macrophage suppressing IRAK-M.
