Anti-Caspase-7 (CASP7) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Caspase-7 is a cysteine-aspartic acid protease that is encoded by the CASP7 gene in human. Caspase-7 is produced as a zymogen that can then be cleaved into 20 kDa (p20) and 11 kDa (p11) subunits that become part of the active enzyme. The precursor of Caspase-7 is cleaved by Caspase-3 and Caspase-9. Caspase-7 is activated upon cell death stimuli and induces apoptosis.
