Anti-CD2AP antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
CD2-associated protein (CD2AP) is a protein that is encoded by the CD2AP gene in human. CD2AP is a scaffolding molecule that regulates the actin cytoskeleton in the glomerular podocytes.
CD2AP contains multiple actin binding sites, three SH3 domains and a proline-rich domain.
CD2AP is highly expressed by the glomerular podocytes. Mutations in CD2AP cause focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) (OMIM 607832).
