Anti-Claudin-9 (CLDN9) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Claudin-9 is a protein that is encoded by the CLDN9 gene in human. Claudin-9 belongs to the Claudin protein superfamily.
Claudins are tetraspan proteins making the tight junction. Claudins have four transmembrane domains, two extracellular loops (ECLs: ECL1 and ECL2), amino- and carboxyl-terminal cytoplasmic domains, and a short cytoplasmic motif.
Claudin-9 is expressed by the stria vascularis in the organ of Corti. Mutation in Claudin-9 causes deafness in experimental mice.
