Anti-HDAC5 antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from human and rodent tissues.
Histone deacetylase 5 is an enzyme that is encoded by the HDAC5 gene in human. Histone acetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA. HDAC5 belongs to class II of the histone deacetylase/acuc/apha family. HDAC5 coimmunoprecipitates with HDAC3 to form a multicomplex protein. HDAC5 also interacts with myocyte enhancer factor-2 (MEF2) proteins, resulting in repression of MEF2-dependent genes.
