Anti-HDAC2 antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from human and rodent tissues.
Histone deacetylase 2 is an enzyme that is encoded by the HDAC2 gene in human. Histone acetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA. HDAC2 is responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues at the N-terminal regions of core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). HDAC2 also forms transcriptional repressor complexes by associating with many different proteins, including YY1, a mammalian zinc-finger transcription factor.
