Anti-IGF1R (IGFR or CD221) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from human and rodent tissues.
Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) receptor, also known as CD221, is a transmembrane protein that is encoded by the IGF1R gene in human. IGF1R is activated by insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) and by a related hormone IGF-2. It belongs to the large class of tyrosine kinase receptors. The IGF1R protein is proteolytically cleaved into α and β subunits. The α chains are located extracellularly, while the β subunit spans the membrane and is responsible for intracellular signal transduction upon ligand stimulation.
