Anti-Laminin beta-3 (LAMB3) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Laminin subunit beta-3 is encoded by the LAMB3 gene in human. Laminins, a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins, are the major noncollagenous constituent of the basement membrane. Laminins are composed of 3 different chains: laminin alpha, beta and gamma and they form a cruciform structure consisting of 3 short arms, each formed by a different chain, and a long arm composed of all 3 chains.
Laminin beta-3 is expressed in the basement membrane of the epidermis and is one of the 3 chains constituting laminin 5. Mutations in LAMB3 have been identified as the cause of various types of epidermolysis bullosa.
