Anti-NHE1 (Slc9a1) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Sodium-hydrogen exchanger 1 (NHE1), or sodium-hydrogen antiporter 1, is encoded by the SLC9A1 gene in human. NHE1 uses an inward sodium ion gradient to expel acids from the cell. NHE1 is inhibited by the non-specific diuretic amiloride and activated by a variety of intracellular signals such as growth factors and neurotransmitters.
NHE1 consists in 10 transmembrane domains. NHE1 is localized to the basolateral membrane of the epithelium in the kidney and the intestine.
