Anti-Pericentrin (PCNT or PCNT2 or Kendrin) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Pericentrin (kendrin), also known as PCNT and pericentrin-B (PCNTB), is a centrosomal protein that is encoded by the PCNT gene in human. Pericentrin localizes to the centrosome and recruits other proteins to the pericentriolar matrix (PCM) to ensure proper centrosome and mitotic spindle formation.
Mutations in the PCNT gene have been linked to Down syndrome (DS), MOPDII and Seckel syndrome, intrauterine growth retardation, cardiomyopathy, early onset type 2 diabetes, chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), bipolar affective disorder, and other congenital disorders.
