Anti-Piezo1 antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent tissues.

Piezo-type mechanosensitive ion channel component 1, abbreviated for Piezo1, is encoded by the PIEZO1 gene in human. Piezo1 is the pore-forming subunit of a mechanosensitive nonspecific cation channel, which generates electric currents characterized by a linear current-voltage relationship that are sensitive to ruthenium red and gadolinium.

Piezo1 is a large membrane protein containing 36 transmembrane domains. Piezo1 plays a key role in blood vessel formation and vascular structure in both development and adult physiology. Mutations in PIEZO1 have been associated with dehydrated hereditary stomatocytosis in man.

Host/Isotype: Rat/IgG

Class: Polyclonal

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide (14-aa) derived from the internal region of mouse Piezo1 protein

Species homology of immunogen: Synthetic peptide sequence is identical to rat sequence (showing 57.1% homology to human sequence)

Conjugation: Unconjugated

Purification: Affinity chromatography

Storage buffer: PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide

Storage condition: –20°C
