Anti-SGLT1 (Slc5a1) (human) antibody is recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from human tissues.
Sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter 1, also known as sodium-glucose linked transporter 1 (SGLT1), is encoded by the SLC5A1 gene in human. SGLT1 transports glucose into cells together with Na+ at a Na+ to glucose coupling ratio of 2:1.
SGLT1 consists in 14 transmembrane domains. SGLT1 is highly expressed by the epithelia in the intestine and the kidney. In the kidney, SGLT1 is predominantly localized to the S3 segment of the proximal tubule.
This antibody was raised against human specific epitope sequence in SGLT1 protein, which derives from a homologous region to the validated mouse SGLT1 epitope (Cat No.: 20801).
