Translocase of outer mitochondrial membrane 20 is an integral membrane protein that is encoded by the TOMM20 gene in human. TOMM20 is one of the receptor systems of the TOM complex (translocase of the outer membrane) in the outer mitochondrial membrane. In mitochondrial protein import, TOMM20 is bound to the pore-forming TOMM40 protein and acts by recognizing its N-terminus.
