Anti-BAD (BCL2L8) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
BCL2 associated agonist of cell death (BAD) protein is a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl2 gene family, which is encoded by the BAD gene in human. BAD positively regulates cell apoptosis by forming heterodimers with BCL-xL (B-cell lymphoma-extra large) and BCL2, and reversing their death repressor activity. When BAD is phosphorylated by Akt/protein kinase B (triggered by PIP3), it forms the BAD-(14-3-3) protein heterodimer, which leaves Bcl2 free to inhibit Bax-triggered apoptosis.
