Anti-Ednra (ET-A) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Endothelin receptors are G-protein coupled receptors that bind to the ligands – endothelins, the 21 amino acid long peptides known to exert vasoconstricting effects. There are two major types of endothelin receptors – ET-A and ET-B.
ET-A, also known as Ednra, is encoded by the EDNRA gene in human. ET-A is a membrane protein containing seven transmembrane domains. ET-A increases blood pressure by constricting the vascular wall and promoting sodium retention.
ET-A is expressed by the blood vessel and the choroid plexus.
