Anti-EpCAM (CD326 or 17-1A antigen or TACSTD1) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) mediates Ca++-independent cell adhesion in epithelia. EpCAM is encoded by the EPCAM gene in human. EpCAM is also known as CD326 or the 17-1A antigen or TACSTD1 (tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 1).
EpCAM consists of a N-terminal extracellular domain, a single transmembrane domain, and a short C-terminal intracellular domain.
EpCAM is expressed by a variety of epithelial tissues. EpCAM is frequently upregulated in carcinomas but is not expressed in cancers of non-epithelial origin.
