Anti-GLUT1 (SLC2A1) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Glucose transporter 1 (or GLUT1), also known as solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 1 (SLC2A1), is a glucose transporter that permits the transport of glucose across the cell membrane. GLUT1 is encoded by the Slc2a1 gene in human.
GLUT1 consists in 12 transmembrane domains and six of the transmembrane domains are thought to create a polar channel through which glucose can traverse. GLUT1 is ubiquitously expressed by a variety of epithelial tissues.
