Anti-Mitofusin-2 (MFN2) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Mitofusin-2 is a mitochondrial membrane protein that is encoded by the MFN2 gene in human. Mitofusin-2 is a mediator of mitochondrial fusion. Mitofusin-1 and mitofusin-2 are homologs of the Drosophila protein fuzzy onion (Fzo).
Mutations in this gene cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2A2, and hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy VI, which are both disorders of the peripheral nervous system.
