Anti-Nectin-1 (HVEC or CD111) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Poliovirus receptor-related 1 (PVRL1), also known as Nectin-1 and CD111 (formerly herpesvirus entry mediator C, HVEC) is a member of the Nectin protein family and also a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF), which is encoded by the NECTIN1 gene in human. Nectin-1 is a Ca++-independent cell-cell adhesion molecule that has three extracellular immunoglobulin-like loops, a single transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. Nectin-1 is one of the key proteins in mediating cellular entry of the Herpes simplex virus by interacting with the viral glycoprotein D (gD).
