Anti-Nephrocystin-3 (NPHP3 or MKS7) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Nephrocystin-3 (NPHP3) is encoded by the NPHP3 gene in human. Nephrocystin-3 is also known as MKS7 or SLSN3.
Nephrocystin-3 is a 150-kDa protein containing a coiled-coil (CC) domain, a tubulin-tyrosine ligase (TTL) domain, and a tetratrico peptide repeat (TPR) domain. Nephrocystin-3 has been shown to play a role in canonical Wnt signaling to regulate planar cell polarity.
Mutations in nephrocystin-3 cause Nephronophthisis type 3 (OMIM 604387), which manifests as cystic kidney disease and renal failure in childhood.
